"It now feels like I'm using my voice at its fullest potential."
Sarah Bishop (in 2021), Vocal Coach, Pro Singer & Actor

I started singing at 4, but I definitely wasn’t the talented kid.
Then puberty hit. My high notes disappeared, and singing became something I had to fight through instead of enjoy. Even short sessions would leave my voice feeling tired and unreliable.
I loved singing too much to keep struggling, so I started taking lessons. I was taught to "push with the diaphragm", "relax more", and accept that my limited range was "what I was born with". I tried everything, but singing still felt difficult — because the focus was on symptoms, not causes.
I'd then spend the next 17 years training with top voice experts around the world, eventually becoming a coach myself and teaching hundreds of singers the best of what I’d learned… the kind of stuff that made me think, “Damn, I wish everyone could know this.”
Through extensive real-world testing with singers of various skill levels, I've developed a clear approach for finding and fixing the real causes of vocal struggles, so singing and speech feel free, strong, and reliable.

Founder & Coach @ Vocal Evolution

Every time I ask a new student "What do you struggle with?", the answer is almost always the same:
❌ Vocal strain
❌ Weak and breathy high notes
❌ A break when going between low & high
❌ Running out of breath
❌ Lack of projection
What most people don't realise, is they’ve been trying to fix symptoms.
When we don't know the cause, we end up relying on blindly passed-around advice, like:
❓"Support with your diaphragm”
❓“Lift your soft palate"
❓“Try to relax more”
❓"Connect your chest voice and head voice"
...and hope something works.
This matters way more than you think, because if you keep training the wrong thing, your voice doesn’t just stay the same.
It adapts in the wrong direction.
But hold up!!!
If your voice is out of balance, anything you build on top of it will eventually break down.
You see, when it isn't working well, your voice is usually in an extreme, like:
• Too heavy / light
• Too squeezed / breathy
• Too bright / dark
As a response, your mind and body go 🚨🚨🚨 and engage extra muscle effort to try and help you make the sound you want.
And that's what you feel as throat tension and strain.
But strain usually isn’t the problem. It’s the result of something deeper being off.
If you ignore that and try your best to “relax” the strain away, or sing that same line over and over again, you'll find yourself wondering why it’s not working.
Practising without diagnosis doesn't build skill. It reinforces the wrong habits.
When we can't seem to get better no matter how hard we try, we wonder if it's a matter of talent.
What if that talent was always in you, just never unlocked in the right order?
At Vocal Evolution, we fix vocal imbalances by first helping you understand what’s going on and hear things clearly, because you can’t fix what you don’t recognise.
When you have clarity, you'll be able to guess less and work on what actually matters.
And we want to teach you how to do that for yourself so you don't have to always rely on a coach to maintain or improve your voice.
We then use customised exercises to guide your energy and rebalance how your voice works (like how much air, resistance and effort you’re using) so it feels stable, controlled and easy.
When you target the right problem with the right approach, your voice changes fast.
Most people don't need years to sound decently good.
This is where we all want to start, but true range, power, tone, etc. can only be built after establishing a foundational level of balance.
Without that, any improvements we experience will not be lasting.
Finally, we apply your upgraded voice into songs and/or speech, and then into real-world situations like recording and performing.
This is crucial so the changes actually hold up outside lessons, whether you’re singing casually with friends or stepping on stage.
01
We'll identify the causes of the Top 5 vocal struggles:
1. Strain
2. High notes (breaking and weakness)
3. Breathlessness
4. Lack of projection
5. Pitch issues
If you fix symptoms, you get relief. When you fix causes, you get lasting results.

02
We’ll guide you in real time to identify your vocal range, transition areas, and unsupportive habits. You'll find out if your limits are caused by what you're born with or a skill gap (it’s usually the latter).

03
Experience function-based exercises that instantly improve resonance, clarity, ease, and the connection between your low and high notes (mix).

04
Leave with a new level of clarity based on your needs and goals + resources to support your growth even after the session ends.

You’re highly encouraged to attend the workshop as it is complements what's taught in your first lesson. Vocal Upgrade covers the most essential basic theory that all our training is based on. With this, the transformation you’ll experience in your first lesson will make more sense and retain so much better.
But if you really can’t make it and want to start with a lesson, the first lesson will be the same price with or without the workshop.
That’s actually the most common situation we see. Without knowing what’s causing your issue, they often lead to more confusion or reinforce the wrong habits.
In this workshop, we focus on diagnosing the root cause first, so everything you do after finally makes sense and works.
Yes, because most vocal struggles aren’t about talent. They’re about coordination and calibration, which are trainable skills.
Most lessons focus on "what to do". We focus on why your voice isn’t working, and what to do about it.
Not everything, just the right things. It’s to give you just enough clarity to change how you practice, and that’s what leads to consistent results.
Yes, because the underlying system is the same.
If you also enjoy singing, this would be like killing two birds with one stone — you get to develop two skills at the same time!
If you choose to continue your journey with us, we’ll help you go deeper through:
• private coaching with Kenogi or Cindy
• structured programs like the 2-day foundations bootcamp and the 10-week online program
• real-world application (like recordings or performances)
But even if you don’t, you’ll still walk away with tools you can use immediately.
